THOUSAND STEPS POOLS – Laguna

One of my favorite spots!!!!

Directions:

1. Map out thousand steps beach.

2. Park for free on the street (PCH).

3. Beach entrance is an intimidating stair case with a bajillion steps(actually approximately 250).

4. Once on the beach look left (south) and walk all the way until you see a cave.

Unfortunately, with this spot… You can only access the pools if it’s during low tide, which is hit or miss.

High tide looks like the water is against the adjacent rock cliffs like this:

During low tide it should look like this:

You can literally only cross if it’s during low tide. Lifeguards will stop you if during high tide.

Once you limb through the cave, there’s a little tide pool area to climb over and on the other side, you’ll see the secret Laguna pools!

Next, you’ll have to climb the tide pools and hop down to the beach where you’ll see this:

Enjoy your adventure!πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ€
